A Jewel in Tall Grass

From the moment I walked into 3823 Tall Grass East, I knew this home was special. Not only does it sit on almost an acre, it's surrounded by 20 acres of protected land. The neighborhood is extraordinarily peaceful... as soon as you turn down the private drive and enter the cul-de-sac, you can feel the tension from your shoulders dissipate... okay, maybe you don't carry tension in your shoulders, but I do.

The home sits back on the lot, elevated slightly from the road. You're greeted instantly by a friendly red door that actually reads "hello..." (be still my heart), and is surrounded by an expansive front porch perfect for a swing on a quiet summer night.

Walk in to find an updated living room with a dual fuel fireplace (yes, you can burn gas or wood). The dining room and kitchen feature unique updates, setting this home apart from so many in the area. Beautiful light fixtures, countertop, backsplash and updated appliances.

The half bath on main floor houses the stackable washer and dryer. The vanity, made from an antique armoire, is one of my favorite pieces in this home. A sliding barn door adds to the charm of this main floor half bath and laundry room.

The partially finished basement houses a 4th bedroom with wainscoting and large daylight windows, making it easy to forget half of the room is actually below grade.

The master bedroom ensuite is spacious with large windows allowing the beautiful back yard to enter the space. The bathroom, completely updated, features beautiful gray flooring and cabinetry, complete with ornate hardware.

There's no question this house is a special one and located in one of my favorite parts of Holland. The bike path, Riley trails and the pristine Lake Michigan beaches are all just minutes, or in the case of the bike path, just steps away.
